baseline.<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Be sure to account for both the <\/span><b>positive and negative cables<\/b><span class=\"s1\">, and enter the <\/span><b>alternator\u2019s current output<\/b><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">For example: 2.5 m cable (one-way distance) and a 75 A alternator \u2192 enter 5 m and 75 A.<br \/>The result is <span class=\"s1\"><b>67.5 mm\u00b2<\/b><\/span> \u2192 always select the next larger standard size: <span class=\"s1\"><b>70 mm\u00b2<\/b><\/span>.<\/p><p>*If the required cable area becomes too large, you can use two cables of the same size in parallel.<br \/>Example: 8 m cable and 135 A gives 194.4 mm\u00b2 \u2192 use <span class=\"s1\"><b>2 \u00d7 120 mm\u00b2 = 240
