Having the ignition switched on while you listen to the radio might seem like a simple solution, but it is actually not recommended. When the ignition key is in the ON position, an excitation current is sent to the alternator rotor, drawing several amperes. That is more than what a refrigerator usually consumes and can cause unnecessary load on the electrical system.<\/p>

In addition to this, the starter battery will be discharged while the ignition is on. This can lead to problems starting the engine later, especially if the battery does not have sufficient capacity. To keep the electrical system in good condition, it is always best to switch the ignition off when you do not need it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
