Battery Switch

Powerful and Reliable Battery Disconnect Switch for 12–48 V Systems

Battery disconnect switch designed for the safe isolation of battery banks in boats, vehicles, construction equipment, and other DC electrical systems operating between 12 and 48 V. Engineered for dependable performance, the switch features a rugged IP67-rated construction that makes it suitable for demanding and exposed environments.

The removable knob provides an additional layer of security and theft protection by allowing the power to be disconnected and the knob removed when the system is not in use.

Benefits:

  • For 12–48 V DC systems
  • IP67 rated for demanding environments
  • Ignition-protected design
  • Removable knob for enhanced security and theft deterrence
  • Can be mounted flush or surface-mounted
  • Clearly marked ON and OFF positions
The switch features two positions: OFF and ON. When the switch is in the OFF position, the knob can be rotated an additional 45° and then removed. This prevents accidental activation and provides effective protection against unauthorized use.
Its compact design makes it suitable for both new installations and upgrades of existing electrical systems.

Wired and Inspired

The switch is rated for a continuous current load of 275 A. For applications where higher continuous currents are expected, a higher-capacity battery disconnect switch should be selected to ensure safe operation, optimal performance, and long-term reliability.

Choosing a switch with an appropriate current rating helps minimize heat buildup, reduce voltage drop, and maintain dependable power distribution throughout the electrical system.
