Skyllermark bus bar – safe and reliable connection for high loads
Do you want to avoid voltage drops and get a stable electrical connection? With a quality bus bar, good cables and proper cable lugs, you can ensure a safe and long-lasting installation.
For best results, it is recommended that you fit only one cable lug per screw. When the cable lug is tightened properly, oxygen is prevented from entering, which prevents oxidation and ensures that the coupling lasts for many years without losing voltage.

The maximum cable size of 16/50 mm² applies when all connection points are used with cables of the same dimension.
If you need to connect a thicker cable, that’s also possible. You can combine thick and thin cables or leave some connection points unused – allowing the installation to be adapted to your specific needs.
Remember to always fit a protective cover over the bus bar to increase safety and protect the connections. Suitable protective cover is Protective cover M.
Which color bus bar should you choose?
This guideline is written for cables, but it’s smart to follow the same logic for bus bars as well—then your power distribution point stays consistent and your whole electrical system becomes easier (and safer) to troubleshoot.
If you have only a 12 V system* (DC):
• Positive cable: Red
• Negative cable: Yellow or Black
If you have both 12 V* (DC) and 230 V (AC) onboard — for your 12 V system:
• Positive cable: Red
• Negative cable: Yellow (must not be black)
* “12 V system” here means voltages up to 50 V DC.
