Can I be sure that the electrical wiring in my boat is good?

We are often asked whether you can trust that the wiring diagram in the boat is good, and we always give the same answer.
No, it cannot be trusted.
It is often unnecessary to spend time trying to analyze your old system; instead, try to understand what your system should look like.

It is connected directly to the consumer batteries. The starter battery does not need shore power support.

If you have multiple batteries connected in parallel, these only need to have half the cable cross-sectional area compared to the cable area required to and from the batteries, since not all the current flows through each battery but is instead divided between them.
