Skyllermarks Cable Lugs – Maximum Durability for Marine and Demanding Environments
Looking for cable lugs that provide a tight seal and maintain consistent contact pressure over time?
With Skyllermarks double-annealed and tinned cable lugs, you get a reliable solution – perfect for marine installations and other demanding environments.
The cable lugs are manufactured without inspection holes, effectively eliminating the risk of oxygen entering the copper conductors and causing oxidation. The thick-walled construction, combined with double annealing, ensures that the cable lugs maintain optimal and long-lasting contact pressure throughout the entire service life of the cable – with no risk of spring-back.
Key Benefits of Skyllermarks Cable Lugs:
These cable lugs are, of course, also perfectly suited for use in a wide range of non-marine environments.

Copper: According to EN 13600 (Cu-DHP)
Treatment: Double annealed
Surface finish: Tin-plated
Tin-Plated Cable Lug – When and Why to Use It:
Tin-plated cable lugs are ideal in environments with high humidity or increased corrosion risk – such as boats, basements, and outdoor enclosures.
Hexagonal Crimping (Hex Crimping):
Hexagonal crimping is recommended to achieve uniform compression around the entire cable, ensuring low electrical resistance and eliminating the risk of air gaps or weak contact points (“contact bubbles”).
What Is Double Annealing – and Why Does It Matter?
Raw copper is naturally soft but becomes stiff during processing.
To counteract this stiffness and prevent spring-back, the copper is heated to approximately 400 °C and cooled – not once, but twice.
This double annealing process makes the cable lugs exceptionally soft and easy to crimp. The material only hardens after crimping, ensuring it conforms perfectly to the conductor.
The result: optimal, long-lasting contact pressure that remains stable throughout the entire life of the cable.
With Skyllermarks Cable Lugs, You Get Maximum Safety and Durability – in Any Environment.
