Battery Isolator Relay with Cables, 200A / 12V

Safe current separation between starter and service batteries

Do you want to be sure your engine will always start – even after long periods of inactivity?

A high-quality battery isolator relay automatically separates the starter battery from the service (auxiliary) batteries when the engine is turned off. This protects the starter battery from discharging and ensures you always have enough power to start your vehicle or boat engine.

Our robust mechanical isolator relay draws no current in standby mode and causes no voltage drop, unlike simple diode-based isolators that can reduce charging efficiency by up to 0.7 V.

This model is delivered complete with pre-assembled cables and installation accessories, making installation quick, clear, and professional.

For best performance, the relay should be installed using properly sized cables and correctly crimped terminals.

Key Benefits:

  • Automatic disconnection of batteries when the engine stops – protects the starter battery
  • No voltage drop – full charging voltage reaches the service batteries
  • Zero standby consumption – no power draw when the engine is off
  • Clear and straightforward installation

Designed for lead-acid battery systems – not intended for use with lithium batteries

Do you want to be sure your engine will always start – even after long periods of inactivity?

With a high-quality voltage-sensitive relay (VSR), the starter battery is automatically protected from discharge by disconnecting it from the service battery bank when the engine is turned off. This ensures that you always have enough power to start your vehicle or boat engine.

Installation Instructions

  1. Mount the relay between the positive terminal (+) of the starter battery and the positive terminal (+) of the service battery.
  2. Connect one of the relay’s control terminals to the D+ terminal on the alternator, or to an ignition feed that is live only when the engine is running.
  3. Connect the other control terminal to the negative (–) terminal of the starter battery.
  4. Use a minimum cable size of 2.5 mm² for the control wiring.

It doesn’t matter which control terminal is used for +12 V — the relay cannot be connected incorrectly, as the control circuit is non-polarized.
